When an eleven-year-old boy is found murdered in a town park, multiple credible witnesses identify Terry Maitland, a respected Little League coach and beloved community member, as the attacker. Fingerprints and DNA evidence appear to strongly support their claims.

Shocked by the brutality of the crime, Detective Ralph Anderson whose own son was once coached by Maitland orders a highly public arrest. But Maitland insists he is innocent, and soon an alibi emerges proving he was out of town at the time of the murder.
